Why Hot Tubs are selling like Hotcakes

With the weather being especially kind to us in the Highlands recently, there could have been no better time to hold our special factory direct hot tub sale event at the Village Green in Aviemore this weekend.

We were delighted to show so many visitors to our fantastic outdoor display, the huge range of hot tubs and swim spas that were available at very special prices for the three-day event.

The one comment we heard most was that these visitors could do with a cooling dip in the hot weather and of course our staff were on hand to let them know that a hot-tub can be a cool tub too! With so many features available on a hot tub you would expect temperature control of the water to be the main one. But it doesn’t necessarily spring to mind that a cooling dip or a refreshing soak is exactly what you can use your hot tub for in hot weather!

Hot tubs can provide a wide array of therapeutic benefits for you and your family. Whether you’re looking to lower stress levels, improve your sleeping patterns or massage various parts of your body, choosing the right hot tub will play an important role in how it’s used.  I’d like to explain just a few of the reasons people like you buy hot tubs from Highland Home Centre.

Massage

There’s no doubt that a hot tub can help with sore muscles. If your body is stiff and aching from high impact exercises, because you’ve overworked your muscles or even because you’ve been sitting at the desk for too long, a hot tub can play a major role in relieving sore muscles, overworked joints and creaky bones. A hot tub can even be a place to warm up and cool down before and after sporting activities. The jets featured in hot tubs create a massaging effect which can help with pain relief and hasten recovery times after periods of intense exercise. It’s been found that even short-term exposure to warm water massage is effective in improving pain relief, recovery and improving athletic performance. Even if your sore muscles weren’t caused by overwork or athletic performance, the warm, massaging waters of a hot tub can play a major role in loosening up tight muscles and providing relief from aches and pains.

Stress Relief

The buoyancy experienced in the water relieves much of the weight and pressure from the body and that can lead to relaxation and stress relief. Adding other options such as aromatherapy or various lighting systems can increase the soothing and calming effects of the hot tub. Music systems have become more popular, especially with the invention of Bluetooth technology making waterproof and portable sound systems much more accessible. The triple action provided by hot tubs in the form of buoyancy, heat and massage all play major roles in stress reduction and relaxation.

Entertainment

Having fun right at home is obviously going to be a major reason for many people to want a hot tub. A hot tub is a year round option for some down-time with loved ones or friends, a place to hop into on your own or when entertaining, and a place to get some distance from the phone or tablet and get reconnected with the people around you.

So now that you know why you want a hot-tub, please come in to see us or call the team at our Aviemore showroom and we can advise you on which hot-tub best suits your needs.
